Trip Info: Over the last decade, Uganda has seen an influx of refugees from South Sudan spill over their borders. Within the last year, almost 1 million more have entered into the country. Come join us as we serve these desperate people and meet local heroes who have courageously stood in the gap for their neighbors. On this trip we will be encouraging these refugees with outreach programs, playgrounds, food and other resources which we hope will encourage them as build their lives in Uganda. This is a great trip to build your heart for Africa and the beautiful people that are making a difference there.
Local Partner Info: Pastor Moses is a S. Sudanese refugee that has a heart for his fellow people. He has been ministering to children and families for several years and has a thriving ministry that is growing. His main focus is reaching the children, discipling them and bringing informal education to them. Our goal is to equip Pastor Moses, encourage him and build his capacity to reach even more of the “little ones” in the refugee camps.

One Meal Events
These local South Orange County events will pack hundreds of thousands of emergency meals and be sent with playgrounds to Northern Uganda for the August Impact Team to help distribute. Large numbers of people of all ages will be touched with a 2 hour long entry-level missions service opportunity.
Through the promotion and communications before, during, and after the event, you will hear and learn of the story of the children and families in Africa they are helping and the impact of the food. Our invitation to “Follow The Food!” means we invite people that pack the food to pray about physically following the food to Uganda in August and be the loving hands that distribute the food to the children. This in turn ignites people and the churches for the excitement of Gospel work and deeply connects hearts to powerful themes including Africa, Gospel outreach with children, food for the hungry, the importance, power, and joy of bringing “play” to a community, and more!
Iraq/Kurdistan Impact Trip
Eight day trip to the Kurdish territory/state within Northern Iraq, in partnership with KATW and Samaritan’s Purse (SP) for war-torn children. The main part of our activities will be building playgrounds in historic Christian communities and supporting the local churches and agencies, being the hands and feet of Christ in this post-war region. Accommodation in comfortable SP guesthouses. Departure on the evening of Feb 22nd, return March 3rd. Two parts of the cost: Trip cost + airfare. Trip cost is currently $1250. Airfare is likely in $1000 range.
Uganda Refugee Impact Trip
More than 1 million have fled the war in South Sudan across the border into a vast undeveloped and sparsely populated of Northern Uganda. Many South Sudanese are Christians, while others are coming from rural areas with no Christian witness. Aid and relief organizations have largely not reached these areas, and severe hunger is rampant amongst the children and their mothers, which make up the majority of victims. Many Christians in Uganda are bravely responding and pleading for help. We will join with Kid’s Around The World and local Ugandan church and ministry organizations in going and bringing emergency food, playgrounds, and Gospel witness to this remote region. Two parts of cost: Trip cost + Airfare. Trip cost is currently estimated at $1800. Airfare is likely in the $1400-$1500 range.
Lebanon Impact Trip – October
Bordering both Syria and Israel, the small country of Lebanon has received more than 1.5 million refugees fleeing the war in Syria, and half are children. There is a tremendous opportunity for Gospel witness in Lebanon alongside passionate Christian organizations and churches there, and we will experience and join in this ministry among scores of Syrian war refugee children and their families. We will spend time listening to refugee families, learn from frontline leaders what can be done, and join in the building of large and strategically located children’s playgrounds. There is an opportunity for an optional extension of the trip for time in Israel. Two parts of cost: Trip cost + Airfare. Trip cost is currently $1500. Airfare is likely in $800-$1000 range.
